Visit Edinburgh and explore its beauty!!
Edinburgh, the compact and hilly capital of Scotland, is one of the most enchanting cities in Europe. This city is commonly known as sightseeing paradise. It is a city where the past exists harmoniously with the present and is renowned for its heritage, culture and festivals. Edinburgh is also a well versed city, in the sense that there really is a great deal to see and to do. Although the city is known for its beautiful scenery, historic castle, rolling hills, and incredible architecture, many visitors overlook the fact that the city of Edinburgh is also a busy, thriving modern community. Edinburgh is Scotland’s second most populous city and seventh most populous city in the United Kingdom. Together Edinburgh's Old Town and New Town are listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Scotland is well known European country for developing type 1 and type 2 diabetes. In Scotland, around 46,000 people have been diagnosed with the condition by their GP, however, there could be thousands more living with heart failure because it's often first diagnosed in hospital. Type 2 diabetes has been associated with shorter life expectancy across Scotland in all levels of society, according to a study at Edinburgh University in 2017.Having the condition lowered life expectancy by five and a half years for some people. About 5% of people in Scotland have diabetes, with type 2 making up 90% of cases. Scottish government figures suggest that every year 17,000 people are diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in Scotland, with an estimated 500,000 people in Scotland at high risk of developing the condition.
